A sport psychology consultation begins with a thorough assessment. The assessment process starts with an initial interview and may also include: interviews with the coaching and training staff, team meetings, psychological testing, performance profiling, and direct observation during practice and/or competition. This assessment process focuses on clarifying areas of strength and areas of weakness and results in a recommended plan of action listing areas to be addressed, methods to be used, an estimated time frame to work on the identified areas, and an estimated cost for the services.
Dr. Moncier also speaks on a variety of topics that can be tailored to specific coaching and/or team needs. Presentations typically range in length from an hour to a full-day workshop.
